Unbeknownst to me, my 17 year old daughter bought a purebred Pittie pup. She was keeping her at her boyfriend's house. when they broke up, I reluctantly allowed her to bring her here. Reluctant because I am pretty upset with her for doing that behind my back and we have two dogs. One is a 4 year old Border Collie/Pit and the other is a 5 year old Shih-Tzu. The puppy is increasingly aggressive to the other two and has bitten the other two in attacks that look like scenes from a dog fight. she goes insane and we have to pull her off by her back legs. She is otherwise very sweet and loving. Some of the attacks are possessive/jealousy motivated but sometimes for no discernible reason at all. She will give a "hard look", ears up, brow down and knowing what we know...we hold her back which sends her even further through the roof. Sometimes just the act of holding her back will put her in attack mode. We are at a point where I will not allow her to be outside or inside with the other two unless she is crated. She has never been abused...I'm not sure what the problem is. I grew up on a farm and my mom does obedience training with her Golden Retrievers - I'm capable of implementing any training methods necessary - I just want it to be the right one and am seeking advice.
