Hi there!
A couple of weeks ago we got a two months old Alaskan Malamute, male puppy. From day 1 he is prone to biting (not nibbing), growling at us, did not accept well our hand on him (not even for caressing him) and in general he is a touch-me-not little one. He seems angry all the time. We also have a young cat, 5 months old, he likes to torture (dominating, biting, etc.). Of course we love him, but we understand this behavior has to stop. What will happen when he is 1 year old? He learned easily to sit and wait for food, he is not food aggressive, but he likes to bite hands, feet, shoes, etc., though many chew toys are available. He seems too independent and I think not too close to us. I cannot explain it, though I had German Shepherds for years and I am not a rookie on dogs. Is it possible he has a fowl character?
I would really appreciate your view and advice.
Best wishes for the new year,
Konstantinos
