Snappy pup

Hi

We have a 4 month old kelpie pup. She is generally great although very recently when she bites my clothing and I discipline her she pulls harder or snaps. I try a firm no. I have tried ignoring her and also 'removing' her from my clothing! It's like she hates to be told off! I'm not sure what else to try at the same time as not aggrevating the situation. I am well aware of what this breed needs, have always had them. She attends dog club twice a week and is exercised twice a day. I make sure she comes along with us whenever possible.

Not sure what else to try!

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
