Our little girl is 75% easy going but twice a day she goes backcrack crazy biting, nipping, flea biting, biting hard to point of drawing blood. Hands, feet, ankles, thighs, back of legs, arms ... she flails and indiscriminately bites. We have tried several correction methods. First and foremost, redirection. We have rolled her lip in so she bites herself, we tell her no in a sharp tone & hold her muzzle, we have (in knee jerk reaction) swatted her nose, held her down etc. She takes it all as a challenge! She bounces right back even more heated and we inevitably have to crate her at which time she will whine, yap & bark briefly but conk out quickly. The breed is notoriously stubborn with selective hearing but the size she will be calls for good obedient, behavior. What do we do!? OH & new thing ... she attacks her dog bed then straddles & humps it!! SHE's a 13 wk GIRL!
Comments for Overly rambunctious 13 wk Great Pyr sees all correction as a challenge!
