I have a 7 month dog and only recently he has started to get aggressive over food. He was always fed with the other dogs until one day he growled and snarled at our other dog. From
this point we now separated them and shown him that when the other dog eats he waits as it is not his.
This went well until one day the other dog came near him when he was given a treat. This caused them to get into a little scrap. Both dogs were separated immediately and from this point he was showing submissive signs towards the the older dog. This has now happened again, the puppy then proceeded to go for me on two occasions. Once with food present once without. Please help me on what to do. As he is such a lovely puppy when food isn't around. :'(

I have a 10 week old boxer. When trying to add food to his bowl, first he will move his body to the side I'm putting the food in. If I do it more than once he will start growling, and biting at me. What do I do? Thanks for any help.

Hello I hope somebody could help me.
I have a 4 year old West highland terrier bitch and we recently bought another Westie who is now 6 months old. When I feed them in the kitchen they go in and out of each others bowls to eat, they both drink water at the same time if they have been playing out and are thirsty.
However a problem started about 2 months ago when I gave them treats, the puppy would turn round and attack my older dog, this happened a few times, so I stopped giving treats after advice from the vet.
Today we have workmen in the home, so I brought some biscuits into another room (the biscuits are the dry food they have) and suddenly the puppy attacked my older bitch, this time making the older dogs mouth bleed.
I am at a loss what to do, I don't really want to have to get rid of the puppy, but out of 30 years off having dogs I have never had this problem. The puppy is due to be spayed soon, and I have read that this can sometimes help with aggression?? other than this incident, the puppy is a nice little dog apart from this sharing which is a bad problem, yet they are in and out of each others bowls when they have dinner in the kitchen at night?
Do I really need to think about getting rid of this puppy? I cannot have her hurting my older dog as she has a very lovely nature and she is so sweet, its very upsetting.
Any advice would be appreciated.
