Agressive Puppy Doesn't like people

My German Shepard - Huskie puppy is 4 months old and follows me around but doesn't like other people. He lives with a pitbull-mix of the same age at home. He is a sweetheart with me - but only me. I'm a teacher and will take him to school but he doesn't like the kids and its understandable because they hit his face and run away. I live in a culture where people usually let their dogs live outside, don't feed them, and hit them on a daily basis. How can I socialize my puppy with people, when other than me the culture is to hit them?

I also rescued him when he was 4 weeks old, so I'm worried he may have some development issues. I want to bring him back to the US after I finish volunteering but I can't brink back a dog that is so aggressive.

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
