Aggressive standard poodle puppy

by Torye

Hello, I bought both my standard poodle and doberman pinscher puppies December 5th. My poodle is older than the dobey by almost 3 weeks (we picked the dobey up at 5 weeks, basically rescued him..). My poodle was fine with him at first but now every she sees him she charges at him and won't stop nipping at him and causing him to fall over on his back. I try holding her back a few times but she goes right back to nipping and growling at him. Even if he cries she does not stop. I've tried separating them but it keeps happening. Please help me, I need to know how to fix this asap. I don't want them fighting constantly and definitely don't want the dobey learning that other dogs are mean. Thank you in advance.

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
