Aggressive Snorkie

Coco & Biscuit

My Snorkie (hybrid Yorkie & Miniature Schnauzer) pup is 3 months old and is usually loving and quiet. But we have a new 9 week old Cockapoo from the same breeder and she runs and attacks him all the time. Sometimes fiercely. She just never lets up. He does respond at times and will go after her but she is like the energizer bunny and doesn't know when to stop. He is more docile and happy to be left alone. There have been a few times they have played quietly but it is limited. Then she goes at him again. We want them to be friends but it is exhausting chasing them so they don't injure each other when they get overly aggressive. We get conflicting advise on-line on how to deter this behaviour. Has anyone else ever had the problem?

Nothing In Life Is Free

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
