aggressive scottie?

We have a 6 week old scottish terrier, female and plus minus 10 month old daschund x, we got him from the spca. Male. We've had the scottie for 1 week now and I notice that she tries to dominate the daxie. They get along very well so far, sleep and eat together but when they play I'm not so sure it always playing from the scottie's side. The daxie is very friendly and he never hurts her. It just seems the scottie sometimes gets really rough and gets into it. They also bicker about toys but never fight. I just worry that when the scottie gets older she might get aggressive, as she is too small to do any real damage now. Someone told us she will outgrow it. It is because she is still so young. Should I worry about this behaviour or is it jusy them sorting out who is the dominant 1?

Employ the nothing in life is free approach
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
