Aggressive Pitbull / Blk Lab Cross

by Belle-Marie C.
(Larimore, ND USA)

I got Bubba from the GF, ND Humane Society when he was about 5 months old. He is very well behaved in the house & the yard. He is not motivated by food or toys & I can take them away from him with him not displaying any aggression. The problem I am having is occasionally while we are outside he will rush me & start attacking me from all sides. He will not respond to any orders at this time & he loses control. He has started to attack me at my knees & this is scaring me because he has bitten me & left bruises & broken my skin. He show remorse & this does not happen often but it does happen without provocation. I need help because he is an incredible dog outside of this behavior.

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
