Aggressive Leonberger

My name is Tara Severa-Miller. I am a disabled morther of 4 young kids. I have an aggressive 6 yr old Leonberger. He barks constantly. He is constantly jumping & licking everyone. He is impatient at meal times. He won't wait for me to put his food bowl down. He has terrible leash manners. He pulls very hard. He chews EVERYTHING, but his toys. Including our hands & as I said I have 4 young kids. I don't want him to hurt them, even by accident. Also he always demands attention. If we aren't paying him enough attention, he will let us know. He jumps up in our face & won't leave u alone. Like he is doing, right now. I need help.

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
