Aggressive German Shepherd Puppy
We have a 10 week old German Shepherd and he is very playful but likes to bite and nip at our hands, arms, and ankles. We have tried all of the following options and we are not sure what else we can do to manage his biting. I know part of it is his teething, but we've put toys in front of him as a form of distraction, trained with commands like "leave it" or "kisses", yelped like a puppy when he bites but it seems to only make it worse. We've also tried our best to walk away when he has a grasp on our ankles, but he is fast and it's hard to get away from his bite. We can't walk him down the street without him herding us, which involves biting, weaving in and out of our path, and sometimes barking at us. We try our best to reward the good behavior and discipline the bad behavior but he gets aggressive and throws a tantrum. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are seriously considering obedience school for our puppy before he gets set in the bad habits.
