Aggressive Boston Terrier

by Jessica
(VA)

I have a 9month old Boston terrier who is aggressive towards me and my 2 year old son. When I tell my Boston No" he starts to growl at me and bite and jump on me. He is constantly jumping on the back of my 2 year old son and nipping at his ears to the point where my son starts to cry. I am having a VERY hard time training him. He still is not house broken. I am at a complete loss and if I can't fix this behavior , my only option is to find a new home for him (which I really don't want to do). He doesn't do this with my husband and in fact when my husband is home he becomes very sweet and nice towards me and for the most part never jumps on my son. HELP!! What do I do? How can I fix these behaviors?

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
