Aggresive Cur/Pit Bull mix

by Mike
(Mississippi)

I have a mixed breed black mouth cur and pit bulldog whom I rescued. He is very friendly loves taking walks and is very gentle with my handicapped child, however if a stranger comes to my home such as the UPS or FEDEX guy he becomes unglued lunging on the leash and begging to be let go. I honestly believe he would attack these individuals, but it is only to strangers, once he meets you and you talk to him he is ok from then on. Should I be concerned. Sometimes he is hard to hold with the leash. he weighs over 100 pounds.
