15 week Chihuahua puppy aggressive sometimes.

I have had my 15 week Chihuahua pup since he was 8 weeks old, at 10 weeks he began to occasionally growl at me if I moved him while sleeping and snapped on a coup!e of occasions (into his own bed for example) since then on 5 occasions usually when drying him after washing he has growled and really snapped at me, I'm so shocked one so young can be so aggressive, teeth barred and everything, I pretend to eat from his bowl first, I go out doors first, I tell him firmly no and put him in time out when he does this but yesterday he did it again, I have two young children and I'm worried this behaviour will carry on into adulthood, he obviously doesn't see me as Alpha despite my efforts, the rest of the time he's the most loving pup but this is really worrying me and I dont know what else to do?

Hi there,

I'm curious to how things panned out??

We are in the same boat with 16 week old male Chihuaha cross shih tzu and like yours so loving but has started the snarling, showing teeth and attacking my hand if he has done something naughty and I'm
Trying to pick him up to put him in his bed our outside.

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
