Crazzzzy Pitbull Puppy!

I've got a 7 mos. old Pitbull I've had her since she was 8 weeks old. This dog is spoiled to death, she's never even been left home alone. We do have a cage that she goes in sometimes but doesn't sleep in it. Lately we have been trying to use the cage to punish her , kinda like a time out thing. But that doesn't seem to be working. Anyway this is what the dog is doing, I would say about 50% of the time she is great and a very loving dog. But for a couple hours a day she goes crazy. She mostly does it with me only not with my wife at all. She mounts my legs when I'm on the couch and starts humping me, for about 15 to 30 seconds then she gets mad and just turns crazy she will growl and bark at me and attacks me, she bites my hands and arms and nips at my face if I try to push her away she just keeps coming back and I will put her in her cage when she does this, then let her back out in a half hour and she goes right back to it. She is also fixed which confuses me with the humping thing. But it seems to only get worse and worse I'm afraid she's gonna bite my face or bite a child or and if I'm laying on my couch or even sleeping she constantly wants to climb on me and lick my face or my neck or back of my head pretty much anywhere and she just doesn't stop, if you push her away she just keeps coming back until she gets back to the point where she's biting me again. Someone help, I don't know what to do with this dog, I love her and want to keep her, I couldn't in good conscience give her to someone else the way she is. But I can't live like this anymore. And I just don't know what to do, is this something she will grow out of?

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
