my pitt bull becoming aggressive to dogs at 6 yrs old

i have had my female blue/red nose Pitt since she was 8 weeks old. she is a high energy girl. has always been very sweet and getting along with other dogs. she grew up w/ my GSD who was very low key dog. GSD passed on 7 months ago. she has been becoming aggressive at other dogs she's known for years. also becoming more aggressive when throwing balls at me and husband by lunging at us to get the ball and she doesn't listen to of the commands she used to listen to. I have gotten a 2 year old Gsd 2 months ago and am afraid the GSD is going start picking up these aggressive traits. how do change my Pitts behavior back to the way she used to be? I have spent a long time teaching her how to behave. She is jumping up on my grand daughters now and she is a very smart dog. husband is thinking she is having chemical changes in her brain. Please give me your best advice. we love her dearly. Thank you very much

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
