Mini dachshunds aggressive

My 10 yr. Old dachshunds gets aggressive with my 22 yr.old daughter, She can pet her sometimes or alot of times she walks by her and she goes crazy and attacks the arm of the couch . Then she can be petting her and she starts growling and she takes her hand away the she attacks the couch. I don't understand why? She takes her for walks and she's fine but at home as she attacks her and my husband too? What can I do? She has bitten them a few times too?

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
