Has become aggressive

Goose is a Dobie/Mountain Cur we got from Dobie rescue 3 months ago; very sweet to us, was great around guests, kids... was pre-approved as a therapy dog, had some obedience training... He came to us with some behavioral issues (poop, pee in the house, counter surfing, a bit too playful with our other big dog though they seem to mostly enjoy the play) and while I am working his on-leash obedience training daily, last week he bit a neighbor and yesterday out of nowhere (while on leash) aggressed toward a next door neighbor. He also is aggressive toward her through the fence we share. Need to resolve this asap. My husband thinks maybe the warning/shock collar? Again, up until last week, I would have trusted him completely around guests. Need an answer I can trust! So many opinions about training out there!

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
