Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.

Work, Work, Work
by: Steve

Both the dogs in your pet's background are working dogs. They need to be active, they need to have a job. One thing that helped our dog is we got some very large balls, almost the size of exercise balls, from wherever we could find them.Thrift stores, Five Below, wherever. Not real (expensive) therapy balls.

These are too big to be bitten, so must be bumped around. 3 or 4 are good. Take these in the back yard and kick them around with the dog.The border collie will start getting them, and the lab will want to retrieve them. Both sides of this smart combo will get satisfaction.

Get private training. Obedience, rock solid, is the only complete cure, then go back into socialization.

If the dog Works, and the trainer Works, and you Work, all of it will result in fun and friendship.
