Biting Doberman

by Mary
(Florida)

HI we have a Doberman puppy 5 months old . She loves to bite I walk her and in the middle of a walk she goes crazy biting the leash and putting her paw on the leash and growling. NO matter what I do she won't stop I have to drag her home and crate her. Also I feel really guilty putting her in the crate so much. Everybody walks her and takes her out in the yard and throws a ball or in the garage if raining to tire her out. How much is to much in a crate. She can't be left anywhere in the house by herself she is to destructive.HELP

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.

All the best,
Adam
