aggressive male yorkie

Hello my family just rescued a 5 yr old male yorkie. He was from a puppy mill. Well we got him about 6 weeks ago and he was fine until these last 2 weeks.. He barks and growls at my 11 yr old son n now is even biting him now.. we have a 1 yr Old female yorkie too. They seem to get along well. Our male yorkie (chewy) hasn't completly warmed up to my husband or our other son which is 15 yrs old to much but he doesn't bark at them or bite them like he does with our 11 yr old. Chewy really likes my daughter 19 and myself. Plz help bc my 11 yr old son is very sad tht chewy doesn't like him. We think maybe the previous owner had a boy at tht age and he wasn't nice to him. We would like some advice on how to get chewy to like our son.. Thank You

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
