Our dog, Pip is 7 years old. We "rescued" her from the SPCA when she was a year old and we have had her 6 years. She is a loving, friendly dog to us and friends and other dogs when they are visiting BUT in the last year she has shown major aggression to a. The Jack Russell bitch next door when we are feeding the neighbours dogs for them. She and their larger white bitch are the greatest friends and run.play together beautifully but the wee Terrier started nipping at Pip about a year ago and since then Pip shows real aggression to her .Jack Russell is iN her cage, Pip outside. We daren't let them together. This has now extended to b. another White dog, also a terrier who accompanies her owner onto our property for work. The dog stays in the car and Pip is very hard to restrain.
Is this behaviour worse because the other dog is in a cage/car? We don't like to ask the owners to let their dogs out in case Pip harms them.
What do we do?? Pip has great games with the little white terrier who comes visiting from other neighbours. Help please.
