Aggressive 10 month Siberian Husky

by Kim

I have a maltipoo who is a year old and now have a 10 month Siberian husky. When we first got the husky she would try to take away anything my maltipoo would have playfully. They would play together well other than that. Finally my maltipoo started to get aggressive taking up for herself. They play together happily but recently have had to calm them down because the husky has started biting (playfully but not realizing how hard she actually bites). Now the problem over the last month when the husky tried to take something from my maltipoo whether it was a antler ( even through she has her own) or a treat ( both had one but husky eats faster) they have gotten into a fight thankfully I have been able to break up but the past few days it's been often sometimes over nothing. I'm really scared the husky is going to hurt my maltipoo. Please help

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
