Scared or aggressive 10 week old great pyrenees

by Ashley F,

Hello.

I recently adopted a 10 week old great pyrenees female from a farm. They ohad two puppies in the litter and adopted them out. I noticed the whole car ride she was very nervous and scared. Once home we got her situated and put her with our other two dogs in a room in kennels. When she gets let out(on a leash) she walks up to their kennels and wags her tail and seems happy. The problem were having is her being aggressive with them outside the kennel. It doesnt matter if they are on a leash and sitting or laying down. If they try to sniff her at all she growls and snaps at them. Im not sure how to socialize her with other dogs with this aggressive problem. Any help would be great!
Ashley

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
