My 7 year old American staffy showed aggressiveness towards 9 week old puppy

My son came over with his 9 week old kelpie cross Labrador and my 7yeat old staffy was fine wanted to play rough and after about 15 minutes went to rough with her. We also have 2 moodles which one just growled when the puppy cam too close and the other one was fine. I want to dog sit but don't know how my staffy will go with her. All dogs are female. We didn't pay any attention to the puppy and she was even on my sons lap sitting on the ground when my staffy went up to her. Any ideas? My sraffy could of easily ripped her apart but knew she was a puppy so she laid on top of her and snapping growling at her. Am i able to fix this ?

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
