conserned puppy owner

Hi we have two 10 week old puppies. We got them at 6 weeks of age. They are a mix of lab & husky we was told but after seeing their parents the father is defiantly a lab but im not sure what the mother is mixed with. Within 2 weeks our puppies started growling at us and when upset biting at us with a grow and a quick snap. We have tried disciplining them with the NO command and even smacking their noses. They usually do this when we are taking something away they shouldn't have or when im trying to get them back in the house after playing outside. The female who looks more like her mother seems to be the worst about the aggression. this morning I went to pick her up to bring her in and she bite me!! I scowled her right away and she new she did wrong and ran in the house. Im worried about spanking them as it may show its ok to hit or bite when your mad.

We have never had aggressive dogs and we don't want aggressive dogs!! Can you give us any advice on training them? I hope its not something in their blood that will lend to be like this always I don't want dogs that bite and 15 years is a long time to deal with this.

They are very smart and by 7 weeks they new sit, lay and stay.

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
