Aggressive Wheaton Terrier

My Dog can be so friendly and playful at times but he will also growl and start attacking my own kids ,there friends as well as other adults .He is now about 5 this started becoming a problem the past 2 years ,I can only put him in my crate He will never attack me or my husband only once when I was commanding him to go into his crate after aggressive behavior toward the cleaning lady, ( who by the way he just welcomed into the house and was so excited to see her) What can I do to stop this aggressive behavior , we have tried kids giving him treats.

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
