aggressive pitbull

I know what you are thinking from the start: "Well of course he is a pitbull!", but my other baby is a pitbull and I have never had such a sweet and loving dog like him before.

Now to get to the point: my new pitbull is only one month old. ONE MONTH! I have had plenty of dogs throughout my life and I am completely baffled that a one month old puppy can be so aggressive. Whenever he plays with other dogs he bits (or at least tries to since he is so little) and also while playing with people. Sometimes I understand the excuse "but he is just a puppy" but in this situation- that cannot be an excuse.

When this little guy bites, he bites hard. Whenever you go to correct him he gets really aggressive and once again tries to bite and starts growling. For only being one month old I can see he is very intelligent and he wants to be the leader. I never delt with a puppy like him before so I am at a loss.

I have faith that he can learn one day and be a sweetheart just like my other pup but I am stuck on how to let him know his place in our little "pack".

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
