Aggressive Abused Dog

by Valentina l.
(Ft Pierce FL)

This abused dog walked into our yard 3+ yrs ago. We kept him since we had a 8 month old pup. Most of the time they get along. But sometimes they still fight and the abused dog has been breaking out of the yard. After they eat sometimes if its storming out he will try and break in and bite at the drywall and door. Recently he nipped at our 2yr old son. We also have a 1 yr old daughter. We need help. We want to keep them both we love them! We have two children and struggle like most Americans to pay our bills. We need help but can't afford a fancy training school. Please help!

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
