Aggressive 14 month spoilt shitzu

Hi there, we have a family dog at my home where I live with my boyfriend and parents! The dog is my mam's dog, and it's our 1st ever dog so my parents have no experience with dogs and training. So the dog isn't trained, he will give you his paw now and again and a high five but that's it! Very rarely responds when you shout him unless it's for food and you shout that! But that's not even the main problem, it's since over the last 2 weeks hes been very aggressive if you try and take someone out of his mouth that he's not meant to have! He have caught me twice and drew blood and same with my boyfriend. My parents just make excuses for his behaviour and I'm worries as he is trying worse and worse! I have told my mam he needs sorting but to my parents hes there little baby!!! But I feel sad and mad as one day he's going to bite an adult or a child and have to be put to sleep, all because of my parents selfish behaviour and ignorance. Please help in where I can start! It's not our little dogs fault it's the parents that haven't trained him and made him know who boss is ect 😥😥😪😪😪 thanks in advance!

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
