Aggression after spay

Hi. I have a 7 month old shih tzu bischon frise mixed puppy. I had her spayed one week ago today. She was jumping on my daughter before her surgery and we were working on making her understand that she can not jump. We use the command down and she was limited around my daughter since she will do whatever she wants instead of what we want when it comes to her. However, now that she has been spayed which was not an easy first 4 days-she ended up being in too much pain and having to get additional pain meds and when they weren't working the vet gave her a once over to realize she had a UTI. So she didn't walk for the first 5 days. Since she started walking two days ago-she jumps on everyone, not just my daughter and she jumps to bite fingers. I really have no clue why this transpired. I even took her for a 30 minute walk yesterday in an attempt to get the pinted up energy out. She even jumped up on the couch. She has never benn allowed on the furniture, so this really shocked all of us. Is there any suggestion to help correct this desire to be in charge and do as she pleases? I did get a flyer from my vet for dog training classes but what can I do while she's still healing for the next week? Thank you in advance for any help or advice.

Nothing In Life Is Free

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
