16 week male great dane puppy

by Tara K.
(Walbridge, Ohio)

My dog has never growled at anyone except today at the vet for his 16 week shots he seemed like a totally different dog. The vet said he was to young to be showing this aggression and he thinks he has the potential to be a really bad dog and wants us to neuter him as soon as possible but we were planning on breeding him. We are going to get him into puppy classes but is he already to aggressive to help?

Nothing In Life Is Free
by: Adam G. Katz

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
