11wk cocker spaniel aggressive and wont listen

our 11wk old cocker spaniel male bites us very hard and lunges at our faces or body while snarling. we tell him NO very stern but it makes him even worse. we have also tried nipping his ear not hard but just to let him know to stop but that didn't work. I also read that picking them up by the loose skin on back of neck tried this also dosnt work! he snarls when playing and when we say NO he barks at us then lunges. also when he is tired he goes into some crazy psychotic trance where he will lay on his back snarling and making winey moaning sounds biting everything. he can be so loving and adorable and we love him so much but we got him at 8wks and its got worse and worse please help!

Employ the "Nothing In Life Is Free" approach, so that your dog starts to view you as the "pack leader." If your dog doesn't see you as the leader, then your corrections will be meaningless. So, if you're doing subtle things (inadvertently) to undermine your leadership role around the house-- it will be counter-productive.
